We have a special in-person raffle prize that will be very popular - a VIP Parking Spot!!!
Add raffle tickets today as you watch your child(ren) run. You do not have to be in-person to claim this prize if you win. This is the "crown jewel of the parking lot!"
Working alongside a local expert, students explored the natural world, learned about caring for the environment, and took an active role in enhancing a special place on their campus. The experience brought KM Explore's pillars to life through hands-on, place-based learning, collaboration across age groups, and a shared responsibility for the world around us.
Our prairie is more than a beautiful outdoor space. It's a living classroom where learning, discovery, and a connection to nature continue to take root!

Harvest Hustle Raffle Baskets
We are over 50% of our fundraising goal! Mr. Searing's class really wants to tape Dr. Nies to the wall!! Remember, you do not have to be in-person to win a raffle. And we have a little twist - there is a special raffle basket to win that can only be won in-person. What is it? I heard it has something to do with the parking lot . . . . . and space. . . .
Harvest Hustle Fun Run Leaderboard updates. Mr. Searing's 5th Grade class has taken the lead with Mrs. Lenske's 3rd graders shortly behind. As a school we have reached 44% of our goal! Keep it up everyone!

Hello Dousman and Explore Families:
The DEX Fun Run is Friday, October 23, and we need lots of helping hands to make the day a success!
Volunteers are needed throughout the day to help with setup, support our runners along the course, and clean up after the final race.
Each race volunteer shift overlaps slightly with the next so we can keep everything running smoothly. Sign up for the time that works best for you—or join us for more than one shift!

Thank you for helping make the Fun Run a great day for our Dousman and Explore learners!
LOGS MAKE GREAT SEATING!!! Thank you Bark River Tree Service for the donation of logs and stumps to the Dousman and Explore Elementary Campus. We’ve utilized them to create some amazing gathering, learning, and exploration spaces. Forest 4K students created and delivered paper thank you's, but we wanted to share this wonderful partnership with our entire KM Community. Thank you again for a wonderful partnership!

Hello all:
Here are a handful of updates to keep in mind for today and moving forward.
1) Today is our first early release day. Dismissal starts at 3:05 PM.
2) Car pick-up and drop-off: When the right lane on Laser Way gets full, please start another lane of cars in the middle lane. Cars will zipper merge to make one lane at the intersection of the Middle School and Dousman Campus parking lot.
3) Please remain in your car and staff will help your child out, if needed.
4) Please do not park your car in the parking lot and bring your child to the front door. The pedestrian traffic slows down our car line.
Thank you for your flexibility and patience. The procedures do get faster as we get in the rhythm. Before you know it, car drop-off and pick-up will run smoothly and quickly.
Take Care:
Dr. Nies
