GIRLS BASKETBALL CLUB TRYOUTS!!! Tryouts for the Kettle Moraine Girls Basketball Club are scheduled for August 23rd through August 26th. This is for all 3rd through 8th graders for the upcoming 2026/27 school year. Registration is tentatively scheduled to be open from July 24th to August 10th (dates may shift slightly). More details will follow soon. We encourage players of all skill levels to join the club.
GRADUATES RETURN TO THEIR ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS!!! Each year, Kettle Moraine graduates return to their elementary schools to reconnect with former teachers and encourage younger students. The visits give graduates a chance to reflect on how far they have come while elementary students enjoy meeting and learning from older students they admire. These traditions highlight the strong connections across the district and the spirit of One KM.
KM EXPLORE MOVING ON CELEBRATION!!! Explore is moving to Dousman, and they hope current and former, students, staff, and families will join them for a fun celebration on May 26th from 6-8 at the Wales Campus Playground!
WALES EXPLORE PTO FUNDRAISER AT BIG PUTTS!!! We would like to invite all elementary families to join us at Big Putts in Waukesha on May 5th from 4-9pm for some golfing and socializing. This is also a great opportunity for those who will be new to Wales or Explore to get to know other families.
REGISTER FOR SUMMER ACADEMY NOW!!! Course registration opens at 8am on Monday March 16th. Students will be able to choose four courses per day (with the exception of Moving on to Kindergarten). To accommodate more families and staffing demands we will again run two separate sessions lasting six weeks total. Session one will run June 15-July 24 (no classes 7/3). Students can attend the full six weeks or one session only if preferred. Session two classes will be a repeat of content and activities from session one, unless noted in the course description. FREE PRESCHOOL SCREENINGS THIS WEEK – DON'T MISS IT!!! March 13th from 9:00am-12:00pm at Dousman Elementary, KM will be holding a free preschool screening facilitated by the District's Early Childhood Team. Children participate in a variety of play-based activities to assess communication, gross and fine motor skills, social/ emotional development, and pre-academic skills. ALL ELEMENTARY EVENT SURVEY CLOSES TOMORROW!!!! We are conducting a survey of elementary families to determine their interest in All Elementary Events prior to the coming school year. Participating in events at other elementary schools gives students and families the opportunity to visit our campuses, connect with new friends, and learn more about the many programs and experiences our district offers. Our PTOs are partnering with district administration to plan shared events for all elementary families. This survey will help us understand interest and gather feedback on ways we can bring our school communities together and support a smooth, positive transition for 2026–27. PERFORM ALUMNI MAKING BROADWAY DEBUT!!! Thatcher Jacob, Class of 2025, will make his Broadway debut as Walter Henderson in Stranger Things: The First Shadow! Thatcher had many wonderful accomplishments while at KM, including participating in the National Next Narrative Monologue Contest at the Apollo Theater. We can't wait to see him thrive on Broadway!
